The hospitality environment is often not very ‘hospitable’ to the space’s flooring. The entire industry depends on having large volumes of customers through, either constantly or in short bursts. The busy and crowded nature of the work is such that spills are quite likely to occur, and when they do occur, they are almost invariably ‘wet’ spills. It is for these reasons that many bars, clubs and restaurants end up with generic vinyl flooring. Vinyl is viewed as the most practical choice, but that isn’t necessarily the case in reality! Today we look at why carpet is a very real option for almost all hospitality spaces.
